Lauren Metzler, an Autistic Illustrator and Comic Artist, originally from Oregon, has a passion for drawing comics, painting, and exploring the realm of cozy fantasy through her ongoing projects, @mermaidheartcomic & @sidequest.comic ⚔️


When she's not immersed in her creative pursuits, Lauren enjoys playing Dnd and embracing the mermaid life in Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches.


As the founder of @mermaids4mentalhealth, she has initiated an online mermaid art project aimed at erasing the stigma of mental health both above water and below.



Embracing her identity as a diagnosed Autistic Artist, Lauren endeavours to shed light on Neurodiversity, making a positive impact for those who have felt "weird" or faced bullying for being "different." Through her art and comics, her goal is to portray strong lead characters who are neurodivergent and convey a message of inclusivity for those grappling with mental health challenges.
